Mako Defense Military or Law Enforcement Training

Mako Defense instructors are unique in the level of experience that they bring to the training. Our instructors have years of real word experience in units such as Sayeret Mat’kal, Yamam, Duvdevan, and the ISA. At the date of this writing, one of our instructors has participated in every hostage situation in Israel since 1995. The techniques being taught have been developed and proven in combat by the Israeli Special Forces.

Mako Defense provides courses designed specifically for the individual needs of units and agencies. We offer expert trainers with many years of real-world operational experience in fields ranging from SWAT and military special operations, to airport and critical site security and EOD. We teach advanced subjects to our LE and military customers that we ado not teach in our public courses, such as responding to hostage situations on aircraft and buses, advanced techniques for active shooter  or school hostage situations, and advanced counter-terror  security techniques.

Mako Defense will teach courses designed around your organization’s SOPs and equipment to prevent confusion and to keep all training relevant.  These courses can take place on one of our ranges, or we can teach at your facilities to save travel costs.

Your organization may schedule closed classes or seminars, or join with other agencies to share the costs of a seminar  or course. We also offer train-the-trainer courses for law enforcement and military at our location or yours.

Support our Military and Law Enforcement!

Mako Defense is looking for individuals and organizations who will partner with us to bring valuable training to members of our armed forces and to the law enforcement personnel serving our communities.

I heard a heartbreaking story recently from a Marine who is paralyzed from the waist down. This Marine entered a walled courtyard chasing insurgents killing one, and shooting another in the chest before running out of ammunition. The second insurgent disappeared into a doorway upon being shot, and the Marine began to reload his rifle, dropping the muzzle and focusing on the weapon, as he had always done on a firing ranges. Looking up, he saw the second insurgent in the doorway again, aiming an AK-47 at him. He tried to turn toward the insurgent and bring his rifle up, but the insurgent fired, and an AK round tore through his spine. He recently attended a carbine course (in a wheelchair), and afterward said that if he had received that training prior to deploying, he would not have been shot by that insurgent. Like many other members of our military, he entered combat having never been taught a tactical magazine change that would have given him the opportunity to fire first.

Our military and Law Enforcement personnel continually risk their lives for our benefit. They deserve the opportunity to learn the skills that will save their lives. Unfortunately, time and budgetary limitations often prevent them from receiving the training that they need.

One deploying soldier’s father recently bought his son a slot in a Mako Defense pistol course so that he could get a level of training that he did not receive in the Army. This is where you can make a difference.

You can purchase a slot at a reduced price in a Mako Defense course for a member of the military or a law enforcement officer, or you may choose to buy several slots or an entire course specifically for an agency or unit. Personnel trained in Mako Defense course can return to their organizations and pass on much-needed training.

This is a rare opportunity to donate to military and law enforcement while ensuring that all the funds donated are used for training. Most charities soliciting donations to benefit law enforcement keep an average of 80% of the donated money, with about 20% given to the agency and only a small amount actually benefiting the personnel it was intended for.

Join with Mako Defense in providing the highest level of training to the men and women who serve our nation and our communities.

Individuals and organizations who participate in our Military and LE sponsorship program will receive a custom certificate suitable for framing and appropriate information about the individuals or units sponsored (personal information will not be shared).
